ASID bylaws require all chapter contracts are reviewed for completeness by ASID, Inc. attorneys prior to signing and enacting. Legal review is limited to assess risk to the Society’s tax-exempt status as a 501(c)6, and to the extent of limiting liability and unreasonable risk to both the chapter and board members.
ASID does not approve or negotiate contracts on behalf of the chapter. It is the responsibility of the parties to contract to accept, reject or amend any provision. ASID reserves the right to prohibit a chapter activity in the event it poses unnecessary risk to ASID, Inc., affiliate chapters, members, or the Foundation, is not aligned with Society’s mission, or falls outside the scope of a 501(c)6 organization.
