ASID INSIGHTS BRIEFS

Evidence-Based Design In Practice

What is the impact of interior design in the built environment in the context of COVID-19? What have we learned?

The ASID INSIGHTS Briefs demonstrate the significance of interior design, its relationships to other disciplines, and future opportunities with interior designers leading the conversation. The focus on human-centered design is presented through the lens of:

What does this mean to the interior design profession?

The briefs identify opportunities to connect, lead, and collaborate on issues related to the built environment. They provide conceptual guidance models for design inspiration, connect theories of evidence-based design to practice, and present key influencing factors that impact the design professions.

The ASID INSIGHTS Briefs Identify Opportunities

The ASID IMPACT Review INSIGHTS Briefs were written based on the work of the ASID IMPACT Review Task Force, which was led by Co-Chairs Linda Sorrento FASID, LEED Fellow and Barbara Marini PhD, FASID, IDEC, ICC who also authored the briefs. ASID and the authors would like to thank our collaborators and the Task Force who acted as the review body for the research in support of evidence-based design initiatives. We would also like to thank our partners and sponsors for their support of this work.
