After receiving degrees in Interior Design and Fine Arts from the New York School of Interior Design and Hunter College, Therese Guadagno began her career in the design studio of Ward Bennett. In 1980 she joined him in his private practice where she worked on high end residential interiors, custom furniture, product design and commercial interiors. In 1984 she established her own firm Therese Guadagno Associates. Having previously lived in Paris she developed a client base from Zurich, Barcelona and Montreal. Ms. Guadagno believes that design is a collaborative process. The designer offers their sense of scale and visual vocabulary to translate a client’s lifestyle needs into a unique space. Cate Megley recently joined the firm and brings with her a modern approach to design. A graduate of Bryn Mawr College she studied architecture and design in Denmark and traveled extensively throughout Scandinavia and Russia. Her knowledge and appreciation of the simple elegance of Scandinavian design is evident in her interiors. Cate has interned for a number of design firms including Pierce Allen where she assisted senior designers with materials, art acquisition and post project follow up. Cate's contemporary aesthetic suits young professionals with a limited time frame and budget-perfect for the first New York apartment!
