Kaitlin Festerman, Education Services Associate, joined ASID in August 2023. She collaborates with the rest of the Education Team to develop, launch, and monitor online programs and educational opportunities for ASID members and related audiences. Katie brings combined experience in both education and customer service. She holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from Stevenson University. Upon graduating, she was a third-grade educator for two years with Harford County Public Schools. She taught and created learning content for in-person and virtual environments. Katie continued her career developing curriculum for print and digital projects in the K-5 realm. Her experience in customer service stems from her first restaurant job, which she worked through her high school, college, and post-graduate years. Katie held many roles in her eight-year tenure, including the positions of Certified Trainer and Assistant Manager. Regardless of the age or career stage of her audience, she is committed to providing every individual with equitable and engaging tools to grow and work with purpose. Katie has lived in Northern Harford County, Maryland her entire life.

1. She is a proud dog mom to her Shetland Sheepdog, Cooper.
2. She loves being active – she is an avid gym-goer and plays in an adult field hockey league.
3. Her favorite sports teams are the Baltimore Ravens and Orioles, as well as the Seattle Kraken.
4. She enjoys visiting South Carolina and spending time on the beach.
5. Her favorite show is Grey’s Anatomy – she has rewatched the series over 8 times.
