In her 14 years of experience with some of the most creative interior design and construction firms in the industry, Sonia Villalta has worked on a wide variety of projects from golf country clubs to religious facilities; and from commercial to residential properties throughout San Francisco and East Bay Area. Sonia Villalta has completed her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from San Francisco State University receiving high honors (Magna Cum Laude) thus placing her on the Dean’s Honor List. She is also a Certified Interior Designer for the State of California and an Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). With an interior design background in tenant improvement, lobby and restroom upgrade, Sonia Villalta has worked as a Designer on thousands of square feet of San Francisco commercial real estate, notably for the Shorenstein Interiors’ Group under Huntsman Architecture Group, as well as, corporate, hospitality and residential design for Heller Manus Architects and Hornberger+Worstell. In addition, recognized as a professional in construction administration, she consistently helped to solve tough problems with regard to budgets, estimates and schedules, previously working as an Assistant Project Manager for Turner Construction and Matarozzi Pelsinger Builders. Some of her recent personal accomplishments as a Consultant Designer and Project Manager are the Appian Way Seventh-day Adventists Church remodel in Appian Way, California, and residential bathroom remodel for 633 Gough St., San Francisco, as well as, community involvement as the Moderator and Consultant Designer of the Dog Play Area at Jefferson Square Park located at Laguna and Eddy Streets which was finalized in collaboration with Rec & Park San Francisco in 2003.
