Individualized service is a cornerstone of Thyme & Place Design. We begin with a design consultation to discuss your ideas for the project and the general design concept, as well as outlining preliminary budgets. Depending on the scope of the project, allied professionals such as architects may be suggested. After placing your design retainer, we develop the project to meet the requirements of your home, taste and lifestyle.

Transitional Cherry Kitchen
The client requested a dream kitchen filled with today’s best amenities that would continue to look modern and up-to-date for years to come.Thyme & Place Design fulfilled those wishes with space-gaining strategies that included a six-foot bump-out, a new pantry, and a dual-height island which houses a microwave drawer, generous storage space, a food prep area customized for the 5’ tall wife, and a dining bar. Ceramic tile floor and backsplash offset by glass mosaic tiles in a simple geometric pattern add a classic touch. Electrical outlets are cleverly concealed in the recessed plug molding that runs along the bottom of the wall cabinets. / Transitional Cherry Kitchen
Media Room
In a family room with a series of related areas for comfort, conversation, and fun, lacewood walls accented by wenge wood details create a glamorous backdrop to showcase the client’s extensive collection of French Art Deco prints, indigenous art, and sculpture. Hand-painted halogen pendants over bar and billiard table repeat the patterns in the Kandinsky rug. The beautiful marble floor is wonderfully warm, courtesy of the radiant heat system underneath; a meticulously planned sound system provides excellent, echo-free audio quality. / Media Room
Art Deco Powder Room
Beautiful reflective surfaces, including opalescent glass tiles, blue glass and mirror countertop, hand-blocked silver wallpaper, diffused glass inserts in the mahogany French door, and a stunning Art Deco mirror, make one forget that this powder room is a totally interior space.Very modern accoutrements include a radiant heat floor, wall-hung stainless steel European toilet with dual-flush system, recessed halogen lights, free-form white bronze vessel sink, and linear faucet. / Art Deco Powder Room
