Little’s goal was to create a new national headquarters that focused on being a catalytic for its employees and the community - improving the well-being of people, bettering the health of the environment and pushing their industry forward.

KEY DESIGN OUTCOMES

People:. WELL-related post-occupancy metrics showed improvement in all key wellness categories. This progress enhances the overall environment, quantifies the positive impact on employee health and helps inform future decisions regarding wellness and change management strategies. As a result of implementing a thoughtful WELL Silver certified workplace, Little employees are more active, and more attuned to hydration and nutrition choices, resulting in greater energy levels and a better connection to their own personal wellness goals.

Post-occupancy results:

Place: By moving the largest design firm in Charlotte to uptown, Little is now neighbors with its commercial real estate and construction partners. Organically, the project achieved the most difficult and highest priority of our mission statement, become a community catalyst, engaging approximately 200 local craftsmen and artisans in the project.

Planet: Utilizing energy metering in the space gives us the opportunity to measure our performance and our actions firsthand. Therefore, we can make smart system adjustments for improved performance. This is all real data in real time, and it is providing us with shareable benchmarks to expand our design knowledge and better educate our clients on energy saving strategies.
