Services Offered
Luminae Souter Associates is an architectural lighting design firm that specializes in designing lighting systems and controls for fine homes, hospitality and commercial installations internationally. Our design approach is to work with the client and other members of the design team to develop each projects lighting requirements by analyzing the client's needs, life style and budget. Our work is a colaborative effort that involves close communication and input from the client, architect, interior designer and contractor. We stay involved in every project from concept through construction completion. For each project, we deliver a complete set of lighting design plans and specifications ready for the contractor. Since our services and fee based and we sell no products, our product specifications are completely objective with no conflict of interest. We only specify products and equipment appropriate for the project and budget.

Fee Structures
Our fees are structured either hourly or fixed fee depending on the project scope and requirements. Sometimes we start on an hourly basis until the project scope is clearly defined then we can provide a fixed fee for the balance. There is no charge for our initial interview to discuss the project scope in order to develop a proposal. This is typically no more than one hour. If the project is out of the San Francisco Bay area, travel ecpenses are reimbursable.
