The Drapery Source
Fairfield, California

About
We have specialized in custom draperies for 15 years. Louise & Ed Jansen became one of 6 California based owners in ‘90 when they purchased Napa & Solano counties as their territories. In ‘93 Louise and Edward expanded into Sonoma County & again in 1995 into Contra Costa County. Since its inception the business has been growing at a rate of 20% per year. We contribute our success to our excellent customer service, our talented consultants, and our strict code of ethics: "We pledge to serve the public with honesty, to advertise truthfully, to advise customers responsibly, & to stand behind the merchandise we sell." Over the years our reputation has been built on satisfied customers. It is our attention to detail and our commitment to quality that sets us apart. LOUISE JANSEN/Owner, Designer, ASID Allied Member Louise Jansen is not only a premiere designer here at The Drapery Source, but also the owner. Louise earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Architectural Design at the California College of Arts and Crafts. Many years of experience have taught her the importance of scale and proportion in home designs. This, combined with the ability to coordinate floral prints, plaids and stripes helps her to create a truly custom look for her clients. Louise is a firm believer and participant in continuing her education in the areas of interior design and business. She thoroughly enjoys working with her clients.
Services Offered
Your One Stop for the Finest Quality Custom Window Coverings We specialize in an area that most interior designers shy away from due to its complexity. This allows us to be experts in a field where it is hard to find any experts. The owners & their staff sustain and renew their knowledge of industry trends & state of the art products continuously by attending coastal window covering shows, interior design seminars, designer show cases, home shows & subscribing to trade magazines. We are shown the latest fabrics & related products as they become available each season. You will select from a spectrum of domestic & imported fabrics offering a wealth of style, color and textures. We Make Your House A Home No one understands that better than we do. We work closely with each client to understand your special wants & needs. Then we help create the look that is yours alone. From custom drapes to shutters, we can provide you with everything you need for your window coverings. In fact, our expertise & service goes well beyond the realm of window covering to custom bedding ensembles, decorative throw pillows, table cloths, upholstered furniture & more. Best of all we can almost always do it within your budget.

The in-home consultation is absolutely FREE, with no obligation to purchase. We have found that it is to your benefit to have the consultant come to your home to personally see the windows, the décor and any particular challenges presented by your windows. This allows us to give you an estimate in writing, without any additional hidden costs. Best of all we can almost always do it within your budget. At the time you make your appointment you will be asked some questions about the rooms in order to help your consultant bring the most appropriate samples with them. Your consultant will also utilize your budget when showing fabric samples, helping to keep you within the amount you have to spend. Designers will sow photographs of previous work, drawings, and sometimes even sketch something out on the spot to help you visualize what your choices will look like. If needed they can also order a memo sample of the fabric for you to keep with you and aid in matching other items needed for the room. The deposit needed is 50% of the order total. This amount allows us to order what is needed to get your products made and installed. The remaining balance of your order is payable when your products are delivered. The installer will verify your form of payment when they come to install the products in your home.
