Hidden Vegas and the Naked City
Wednesday, May 14 10 a.m. - noon (session ID HD8SV1)
You liked this experiential learning so much last year, you asked for it again in 2008! With design experts and Las Vegas insiders, explore Hidden Vegas and The Naked City.
For decades, Las Vegas has been the fastest-growing area in the nation, in the fastest-growing state. In the throes of such rapid change, 50-year-old buildings are now "museums," 25-year-old buildings are torn down routinely, and new building height and parking restrictions bring increased verticality to developments everywhere. But, as we contemplate what remains, one has to wonder, "What’s left of the past and how is it used today?" Find out by getting away from The Strip and Glitter Gulch and exploring another side of Las Vegas - and what characterizes retail, hospitality and "The Naked City." Bruce R. Goff, ASID, of Domus Design Group, and Darrell Parker of Parker Scaggiari, take you to "off-the-map" areas in search of hidden Las Vegas.
