There has been an explosion of evidence-based practices in recent years with an aging population, greater interest in patient expectations, proliferation of information technologies, the growth of disease management modeling, Pebble Projects and the Center for Health Design research. Evidence-based design makes this topic both compelling and timely. Based on the book, Healing Environments Evidence-Based Design for the Body Mind and Spirit, this presentation addresses healing environments, and the evidence that substantiates the concepts. It also addresses what is observational and what is still theoretical.
