Dear ASID Members,

Due to a technical issue, you may have received incorrect notice of the number of continuing education unit (CEU) credits you earned during the two-year reporting period that now will close on Mar. 31, 2014. We apologize for the confusion and appreciate your patience as we address the problem.

As a result of this database error and ongoing website challenges, we have extended the deadline to register CEUs past the original date of Dec. 31, 2013.  By Mar. 31, 2014, all ASID Professional, Allied and Associate members must have completed their requirement of 0.6 CEU, as indicated in the ASID bylaws.

At the end of March 2014, ASID staff will audit members’ CEU credits, based on the most recent Interior Design Continuing Education Council (IDCEC) report. To maintain active ASID membership, members with fewer than 0.6 CEU will be asked to show proof of the necessary credits, or members may request a 30-day extension to secure those credits.

If you have questions about how to meet the CEU requirement, please email education@asid.org or call the ASID Education Department at 202-675-2341.
If you have questions about your membership status, please email membership@asid.org.

The following web resources list on-demand online courses, upcoming live courses or industry events that offer CEUs:

Earning CEU Credits

There are two ways to earn CEU credits.

  1. IDCEC-approved courses: ASID automatically accepts IDCEC-approved continuing education courses and programs. Click here to access the IDCEC website and database.
  2. Non-IDCEC-approved courses: Submit any non-IDCEC-approved course to ASID before uploading the information to your IDCEC registry by completing the Self-Reporting Submission Form (which can be obtained online and emailed to education@asid.org). If ASID approves the course, you can log in to www.IDCEC.org and report the CEUs to your registry by uploading your ASID approval letter.

Registering CEU Credits

ASID highly recommends that all members use the IDCEC registry to capture their CEU activity. The registry enables you – and ASID – to keep track of your credits easily and quickly. You can access your CEU records 24/7 with your IDCEC identification number.
