The use of chemicals of concern in the built environment impacts our own health and wellness, as well as that of future generations. This session will provide an overview of the substances commonly found in the built environment that have been identified by regulatory bodies as potentially harmful to human health.

Obesity and Type 2 diabetes are now epidemic, and the design of our buildings and interiors can contribute to the problem. Explore how the design of healthy environments can go beyond considerations of energy conservation and sustainability to actually promote physical activity and health through design.

Learn how European kitchen design can positively influence occupant health and wellness through the use of optimal manufacturing methods and materials, and by recognizing sustainability standards, identifying ergonomic improvements and realizing cabinetry’s role in Universal Design.

Time Management: Ideas and Inspirations to Manage Time Better (0.1 CEU / General)

Effective time management can increase a person’s productivity on the job and at home. During this interactive session, attendees will examine how they manage time during the day, identify ways to use time effectively and ineffectively, and determine specific ways to improve time management.
