New ASID.org helps match clients and designers by location and specialty

WASHINGTON, D.C. (January 2, 2013) | ASID today announced the launch of its new website, ASID.org. The new ASID.org is designed to engage the design community and showcase the expertise of ASID members through several key features including:

  • Find a Designer and Designers Near You. This homepage feature highlights rotating designer portfolios based on a user’s location. Users can view designer portfolios and refine their search by specialty and expertise.

  • Design research and resources. Videos, publications and checklists to help clients to choose and hire a designer and learn more about special topics including sustainable design, aging-in-place, design for children with special needs, safety in the home and more.

  • Access to the industry’s leading companies, products and educational materials through a comprehensive listing of ASID Industry Partners, speakers, and web events.

The ASID.org redesign meets the challenges of today’s interior design industry, where a rapidly evolving online environment plays a huge role in modern communications. The new ASID.org puts the emphasis on membership service, user experience and the value of interior design by showcasing the talent and expertise of ASID members.
