What's The Word? Students

Hear what our students have to say about the future

We all remember graduating from college. The future is bright...and a little scary. But, as time goes by and you become a seasoned professional, it's easy to feel far removed from the newest class of interior designers. We make a lot of assumptions about what students are looking for in a job, a mentor, and how they plan to change the industry.

We are putting these assumptions to bed. At SCALE: The ASID National Student Summit, I interviewed a handful of students about their hopes and fears for their first job, their first boss, and the industry. What I found is there's a lot we can learn from the next generation of interior designers.
